Field Canvasser

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Canvasser to help our business grow! As a canvasser, you will be responsible for approaching people in their homes and establishing a first impression of our company. Your main responsibility will be to provide people with information of our services to qualify them as potential leads that our estimating team can then connect with. 

To ensure success as a canvasser, you should have excellent interpersonal skills and a background in sales. Ultimately, a top-notch Canvasser is someone who can intimately relate to people face-to-face and offer them the opportunity to become a client with us! 

OFFICE

As a field canvasser, you will spend the majority of your time on the road. However, we do have our main office located in Fairfax, VA (near mosaic district) where you will have access to a desk and other office/work material you may need. We have a shared bathroom and snacks/drinks for our employees as well!

Hours:

Minimum of 30 hours/wk. 

Pay/Opportunities:

$12,000 a year base salary with commission and bonus pay. This position will give you the opportunity to make $1,100 to $1,500 a week.

**This position has the potential to grow into a full-time salesperson.** 

Canvasser Responsibilities:

• Qualify new customers for estimating team. 
• Driving to Canvassing locations. (some of these locations will be in areas we have current/existing clients already). 
• Approaching and talking to people in their homes about the company or organization.
• Obtaining contact information for us to connect with them via phone and/or email. 
• Answering questions about the company, our products, process, etc. 
• Maintaining a professional appearance.
• Qualify new customers for estimating team. 

Canvasser Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous work experience as a canvasser.
• Sales experience (1+ years)
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to sell ideas or products and sway opinions.
• Ability to work after-hours and on weekends.
• Ability to travel locally.
• Ability to work outdoors.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods.
