 FIRE SPRINKLER FITTER INSTALLER

As a Fire Sprinkler Fitter Installer, you help fulfill the fire code requirements for new construction commercial buildings by installing fire sprinkler systems. You run careful quality checks on newly installed or retrofitted systems. You install all installing fire sprinkler systems materials associated with sprinkler systems. You take pride in doing quality work and are diligent about keeping paperwork and reports up to date. You get great satisfaction out of using your specialized skills to help make commercial buildings in your community safer!

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Measure, cut, install, and secure piping per code.
  • Understands how the sprinkler systems work to be able to troubleshoot cause of problems. 
  • Ability to replace/repair all components of the sprinkler system in a safe and timely manner.
  • Informs personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders for the purpose of providing information for making decisions, taking appropriate action and/or complying with building and safety regulations. 
  • Maintains vehicle, tools, and equipment for the purpose of ensuring availability in safe operating condition.
  • Responds to emergency situations during or after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
  • Prepares written documents/forms for the purpose of documenting activities and/or conveying information.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Extensive knowledge in the construction and operation of various sprinkler systems. 
  • Experience with standard operations and maintenance of sprinkler systems.
  • Must have current knowledge of common installation codes and practices. 
  • Must be computer literate and able to use Microsoft Office applications. 
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal, for both customer and team contact. 
  • Extremely detail oriented. 
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
