Responsibilities for shipping
- Maintain assigned work areas and ensure that inventory is kept in a safe, organized manner
- Report inventory shortages and overages to supervisor
- Complete inventory counts as required by company policy
- Provide back up for all shipping areas
- Back up receiving area as needed
- Back up for manufacturing/production if needed
- Back up other warehouse/storage areas
- Reconcile issues, wrong qty shipped, invoicing errors, invoicing not done
Qualifications for shipping
- Stacking and wrapping parts, tracking inventory
- Ability to work 8hrs on your feet
- Experience in working in a shipping department
- Packaging, or related experience preferred
- Ability to train staff and understand how to manage, motivate, and develop employees
