We are looking to hire a competent and creative dental laboratory technician to join our growing team. The dental lab technician is essential to creating quality crafted dental guards, trays, crowns, and other appliances. You work behind the scenes with impressions and prescriptions written by dentist professionals to craft individualized devices. You ensure that all cases are completed in a timely manner, with quality results, and within budget to ensure patient satisfaction. Our ideal candidate is someone with previous experience in creating high-quality dental prosthetics and devices.
To ensure success in this position, you should have extensive knowledge of all dental technologies and use your expertise while creating a safe and pleasing environment and high-quality products and services. Should have excellent and steady manual dexterity that allows for the manipulation of hand tools for an extended period. Thorough comprehension of dental components to understand the dentist’s prescription and work orders to prevent unnecessary rework. Understanding and following operating standards to ensure a safe work environment for themselves, team members, and patients. Work orders are expected to be completed promptly, making time management skills another essential skill. Ability to work behind the scenes independently.
Dental Laboratory Technician Duties & Responsibilities:
- Polishing dental prostheses and dental devices
- Keeping up to date with new dental technologies and advancements in the field
- Constructing prostheses and devices for clients by replacing wax with adequate dental materials
- Mold prostheses by encasing wax replicas of impressions
- Making adjustments and color corrections for prosthetic teeth
- Managing inventory and performing equipment maintenance
- Replacing natural teeth by fabricating removable bridges and prosthetic teeth
- Restoring teeth by fabricating crowns and dental implants
- All lab cases delivered on time.
- All lab cases are received on time.
- Following the set flow for the receiving cases and delivering cases by the date needed.
- Check e-mail in the morning, at noon, and before close.
- The average crown redo or shade change is less than 5% weekly.
- Verify all lab cases for the following day have arrived
- Track all inbound and outbound lab cases for the following day.
- Follow a budget and track all lab supply ordering.
- Keep records for dental laboratories and write reports on lab activity.
- Communicate respectfully and effectively with the entire team in the practice.
- Ensure maintenance of dental lab equipment and assist with repairs.
- Track procedures and follow industry rules and safety guidelines.
- Keep up with new developments in dental laboratory technologies and methods.
- Update knowledge by taking advantage of training opportunities.
- CE is taken monthly to ensure the best techniques are planned.
Dental Laboratory Technician Requirements:
