Personal Assistant

Salary Range:  $16 - $18 hour

Position Overview

Are you in need of a position with flexible hours but with a level of responsibility that matches your initiative and ability to get things done? As a personal assistant to the President of Garrett Painting and Garrett Remodeling you will be a critical support in helping business leader, Shane Garrett, with high impact tasks and responsibilities that serve business, investment and personal needs. You will perform various routine errands, clerical duties, and take on important assignments working directly with the president of the company.

Business Overview

For over 20 years Garrett Painting has served Mid-Missouri with high quality painting services and excellent customer service. President of the company, Shane Garrett, is now introducing remodeling services dedicated to the same level of quality and customer service. As a service based organization, people are at the center of the operation and to help the owner of the company focus on leading, he needs your help managing administrative tasks related to business and personal investment affairs.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Manage personal book keeping and investment accounts; and provide reports.
  • Assist with property management duties such as communicating with renters and showing apartments.
  • Performs clerical duties including typing, filing, and completion of simple forms.
  • Sorts incoming mail and delivers to appropriate location or individual; processes outgoing mail.
  • Maintains filing systems either manually or electronically.
  • Manages travel, calendars, and schedules appointments.
  • Run various errands.
  • Paying bills.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Able take on multiple assignments at once and remain flexible.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with work office or related software.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Personal assistant experience preferred.

Physical Requirements 

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to drive short distances.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Compensation

This position is part-time and will earn $16/hr-$18/hr with opportunity for raises, bonuses, and full-time hours.

Time Expectations

This position will require between 15-20hrs per week with flexible but on demand hours. You'll need to be available via text/phone/email to receive assignments and to respond in a timely manner. This includes some nights and weekends correspondence on occasion. You'll be asked to perform errands that will take you to various endpoints throughout town and will need reliable personal transportation.
