Project Manager

Salary Range:  $50,000 - $60,000 year

As a Project Manager, your primary purpose is to support Crew Leaders of our paint crews and other operations staff by helping them run projects more smoothly working with them in the field.

We’d be lying if we didn’t say it can feel like a little bit of a whirlwind at times, but the right person for this job knows how to stay calm in times of turbulence and stays focused on getting done what needs to be done.

Skills and Responsibilities

You’ll excel at this position if some of the following skills and responsibilities you’ll be taking on sound like you.

  • Works directly with customers to help them plan working with the crew.
  • Troubleshoot issues that arise.
  • Get projects started with the crew and close the projects out when they are finished.
  • Order job materials and assist with delivery.
  • Coordinate product and color details.
  • Maintain an organized shop.
  • Manage scheduling of the crews.

Being able to work with computer software and being proficient in written and verbal communication via email and phone will help you in this position.

Desired Experience

If you’ve had any of the following work experiences, you’ll be able to put those experiences to use here.

  • Project based work.
  • Supervising or Management.
  • Familiar with Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Drive, etc.)
  • Trades experience as a craftsperson.
  • Positions where things change often.

A Day in the Life of a Project Manager

On a daily basis you will come into the shop first thing in the morning to facilitate job starts and to make sure that every job is appropriately staffed for the day. 


You’ll be out and about throughout the day visiting job sites for quality assurance and checking progress. 


You’ll assist with ordering supplies to ensure that painters are staying productive on the job site. 


You’ll be faced with changing circumstances where you’ll have to help problem solve, working with both customers and the crews to make sure that any issues whether outside of our control or caused by our own mistakes find solutions quickly and amicably.
