PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION:       

This position will support the recruitment process by working with the Recruiter on determining open position, screening candidates, scheduling and conducting interviews, extending job offers and keep in contact with the candidate during the onboarding process.  The Hiring coordinator will also conduct extensive background checks as a program requirement.   

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Collaborates with Recruiter, who will source candidates and identify staffing requirements for new or open position
  • Screen candidates based on criteria provided by Program Managers
  • Schedule interviews with the applicable program leadership
  • Interview qualified candidates and partners with program leadership on selecting the most suitable individual for residential programs.
  • Extends job offers to prospective employee in line with agency standards
  • Negotiates job-related expectations and compensation
  • Ensures prospective employees follow through on required onboarding processes
  • Partners with HR and Training to identify strategies to develop and retain employees
  • Collaborates with HR and program leadership in the development of job descriptions
  • Supports Recruiter to ensure all residential job postings are accurate and posted on appropriate job boards
  • Complete reference checks for new hires.  
  • Models Center’s expectation for sensitivity and competency relating to diversity and cultural awareness. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelor’s degree and experience in related field required.   
  • Must have at least 5 years’ prior experience that may include recruitment, residential programming, workforce development, and/or program development.
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills and ability to work independently
  • Ability to multitask, delegate and follow up in a fast moving and changing environment
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with technology in performing job duties.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age 
  • Must possess or able to obtain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card upon employment
  • Must have valid Driver License and five-year clean driving record 
  • Able to display verbal and written communication skills that meet the requirements of position
