Pay: $15.00 - $17.25

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will primarily be responsible for providing assistance in preparing and delivering meals to agency programs, dishwashing, and maintaining health and safety standards in the kitchen.

This is a part-time position. The shift is Sunday-Thursday, 6:00am until 11:00am or Monday-Friday, 8:00am-1:00pm.

Essential Functions:

• Removes various food items from packaging
• Measures food into bowls to ensure appropriate portions
• Prepares meal carts
• Washes dishes
• Delivers meals to agency programs via company vehicle
• Unpacks and organizes biweekly supply orders
• Performs basic cleaning duties in the kitchen
• Practices health and safety 
• Assists Cook with any CACFP duties
• Attends and participates in staff meetings and training sessions 
• Adheres to agency confidentiality agreement
• Adheres to agency safety practices

Education/ Experience:

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to obtain a Food Handler Card upon hire
• Must have a valid Arizona Driver’s License
• Must be able to obtain a valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
