On-Call Driver Behavioral Health Experience

As an On-Call Driver with Child Crisis Arizona you will be responsible for transporting children to various locations in the agency vehicle. While this is an On-Call position, you will need to attend 3 full days of training. The Schedule is Monday – Friday 6AM – 9AM AND 1PM-4PM, the Pay is $20.00 an hour. We have 5 available positions for this role.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Transports youth/children as needed and follows all transportation safety and documentation guidelines.
• Maintains awareness, safety, security and supervision of youth/children in care at all times.  
• Establishes and maintains positive relationships with all youth/children in our care, agency staff, and external stakeholders.
• Follows all behavior management, de-escalation strategies, and crisis intervention protocols and procedures.
• Ensure all conduct and youth/children interactions are Trauma Informed and follows best practices.
• Models sensitivity and competency related to diversity and cultural awareness. 
   

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a Driver required.
• Experience working with children strongly preferred.
• Behavioral Health Technician [BHT] experience is ideal.
• 21+ years old required.
• Possess a valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card or be able to obtain one prior to employment.
• Must have valid Arizona Driver’s license, exhibit the ability to operate Agency vans and/or vehicles safely and have a clean 5-year motor vehicle history.
• Sustains certifications for CPI, First Aid, CPR, and participates in ongoing Agency trainings, as directed.
