Food Production Manager ($5,000 Sign-On Bonus)

Salary Range:  $60,000 - $70,000 year

Piroshky Baking Company is seeking a Production Manager 60,000-70,000 annually, depending on experience plus $5,000 SIGNING BONUS!!!

A locally owned bakery since 1992, Piroshky Piroshky has been serving Seattle from its historic Pike Place location for almost three decades. In recent years, our company has grown to multiple locations. More recently, we have expanded robustly into online sales, and customer delivery- locally, regionally and nationally. As we continue to expand and grow, we are seeking creative, passionate, and loyal individuals to join our team.

Our central kitchen, where the position is held, is located in Seattle's South Park neighborhood. Here, our team works through out the day to produce for our bakeries, online orders, and customer delivery distribution. 

Our Production Manager will work alongside the Operations Manager, overseeing the daily operations of kitchen production, including the preparation of food ingredients, hand made pastries, and baking as well following health, sanitary and safety guidelines.

Our dedicated team has managed to pivot during these difficult years to a business model that helped us not only survive the tremendous impacts felt by the food industry, but begin to grow again, and carefully hire again. Duties:

· Manage the manufacturing process in its entirety within the production facility

· Maintain a safe, secure and healthy facility environment by establishing, following and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; comply with health and legal regulations; maintain security systems

· Help develop and manage sanitation and compliance department for purposes of WSDA/USDA and other certifications.

· Quality and Inventory control

· Create schedule– ensure appropriate labor needs correspond with production goals

· Report necessary equipment repair and maintenance to facilities staff (both internal and external)

· Manage and resolve emergencies

· Ensure production continuity

· Set production targets

· Oversee lifespan of product

· Observe and enforce company policies, procedures and goals – both short and long term

· Anticipate and plan hiring needs and recruit accordingly

· Be able to participate in solution based, forward moving conflict resolution

· Assessing business needs to determine over/under staffing, overseeing adjustments as needed.

· Have oversight of day-to-day operations across all assigned departments.

· Oversee timely development and disciplinary action as needed

· Oversee weekly and monthly cost reports and budgets.

· Manage and resolve any emergencies as needed

· Training and coaching of direct employees

Qualifications:

· Have a minimum of 5 years' experience managing crew of 15 or more direct employees.

· Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience leading in a food industry setting.

· Have a work history demonstrating strong employee engagement leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively.

· Special consideration given to experience with WSDA/USDA compliance
