BACKFLOW INSPECTION / REPAIR TECHNICIAN
The Service Technician with concentration in backflow services, will be responsible for inspecting, testing, maintenance, repair and replacing domestic, irrigation and fire backflow assemblies. The service technician shall perform to the prescribed standards, performing on-site emergency troubleshooting and minor repairs of our customers systems, and identifying code and non-compliance issues. A desired service technician candidate is reliable, thorough, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
We are looking to fill multiple service technician as soon as possible
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct backflow inspections for existing sites, renovations, and new construction.
- Ensure customers are serviced to the highest level of satisfaction through quality service and that the customers’ expectations are satisfied before leaving job site.
- Perform troubleshooting, service and repairs of backflow assemblies as necessary.
- Identify code and other non-compliant issues and make recommendations on repairs or preventive maintenance.
- Complete and produce reports that are legible, accurate and detailed.
Qualifications:
- Ability to travel to multiple job sites each day.
- Ability to walk, stand, squat, kneel and climb ladders multiples times a day.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, with little supervision.
- Organized, systematic and adherent to deadlines.
Job Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License
- High School diploma/ GED
- Backflow Certified through ABPA or other equivalent (current)
- City of Phoenix Repair Certification (ASSE 5000)
- Able to carry and move tools and equipment up to 50-70 lbs
- Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions – climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within cabinets, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
