Overview
Are you self motivated? Do you enjoy money in your pocket after every shift? We're looking for someone with a great attitude, friendly and has the love for customer service to be able to provide the A+ service our customers expect. Airport shuttle drivers transport customers to and from the airport from our lot directly to the terminal, but this is not a bus driving position. Our shuttle drivers stay active most of the shift by lifting luggage, sometimes up to 70 pounds and walking up and down the steps to get in and out of the shuttle.
Hours: 40 hours (Four 10 hour shifts)
Make $19.00 - $22.00 (including tips)
Qualifications
- HS Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must provide a clean 39 month Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) from date of application
- Will need to be able to pass a (DOT) medical exam to operate a shuttle bus.
- Must pass a 10 year background check
- Must have excellent verbal communication skills and be able to speak clearly.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
Drivers work in a physically demanding environment. Lifting luggage; able to lift 50 pounds or heavier, prolonged sitting and frequent standing are a normal part of the job. Must feel comfortable driving a large vehicle.
*Hiring is contingent on passing a DOT physical, drug screening and a 10 year background check
Responsibilities
- Current drivers license to drive shuttle
- Valid/Clean/Accident -free driving record
- Have first-rate etiquette and professionalism qualities
- Greet and be available to customer for customer service related issues
- Must be able to answer inquiries about all rates, services and promotions
- Assist in the loading and unloading of customer luggage
- Knowledge of airline terminal locations to allow for expeditious drop off and pick-up
- Implementation and recognition of defensive/safe driving techniques
- Communicate effectively with other drivers and dispatchers to ensure effective fleet ops
- Compliance with federal, state and local agency regulations (DOT) in regard to the transport of passengers to/from the airport
- Accurately complete reports and forms related to shuttle operations
- Compliance with company rules, policies and standard operating procedures
