Veterinarian

Salary Range:  $150,000 - $175,000 year

Overview: 

We’re seeking a compassionate veterinarian to help patients avoid and treat diseases, as well as enhance their overall health and well-being. Dogs, cats, hamsters, rodents, birds, and other similarly related species will be among the veterinarian’s patients. You’ll work with other team members to enforce ethical and medical standards while also sharing your veterinarian knowledge. You’ll collaborate with clients to find the finest treatment options for each patient, utilizing cutting-edge medications, materials, and technology.

Responsibilities: 

  • Build strong relationships with the clients, ensure positive outcomes for the pets, provide excellent client communication, establish protocols, and lead staff members to better performance.
  • Providing preventative care, the diagnosis and treatment of illnesses/injuries, and the diagnosis and management of chronic medical conditions.
  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and diagnostic tests on animals to determine their health status
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for pets with various illnesses or injuries
  • Administer vaccinations and medications to animals
  • Provide advice and counseling to animal owners on proper animal care, including diet, exercise, and behavioral issues
  • Work with other veterinary professionals and specialists as necessary to provide the best possible care to the patients
  • Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
  • Keep up-to-date on new developments and advances in veterinary medicine

Requirements: 

  • Current licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Pennsylvania
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited college or university
  • At least 1 year of experience in veterinary medicine, graduates encouraged to apply
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex medical terms and treatment plans to clients in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound medical decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for animal welfare and a commitment to providing the highest quality of care to our patients
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other veterinary professionals and specialists
