Pest Control Technician Responsibilities:
Respond to customer inquiries regarding pest managementWork with staff in the pest control office to arrange appointments with customersAssess customer property to identify warning signs of potential pest problems, such as termites, bed bugs, vermin, rodents, or other unwanted pests. Provide guidance for the best extermination processes for the identified infestation source and whether the process will include pesticide use, mechanical traps, blockages, and/or other pest control methods. Spray the necessary pesticides in appropriate areas of infestation. Follow safety procedures and product instructions at all times when using pesticides. Record work activities and complete all paperwork after finishing servicesPest Control Technician QualificationsHigh school diploma or G.E.D.United States driver's license and clean driving record. Comfortable with an outdoor work environment in a variety of weather conditions. Able to work with different types of critters, including rodents, termites, bed bugs, and moreEnough physical stamina to climb into crawl spaces, walk upstairs, and lift 50 lbs on a daily basisStrong communication skills, both written and verbalSuperb customer service skills
